We are committed to helping you make smart decisions about your rehabilitation process, by assisting you in learning about evidence based treatment options, safe training and expert strategies.
In addition we aim to look at ways to challenge your chronic low back pain and assist you in getting your life back into shape.
I am a physiotherapist based in Vienna, Austria with a special interest in chronic low back pain. After having toured as a musician and having worked as a journalist for national television broadcasting I studied to become a physiotherapist, following my families footsteps in the world of medicine. I have a background in clinical research and have been a freelance physiotherapist in my own practice since 2013.
My own personal experience with chronic low back pain developed after spending three months in a wheelchair after undergoing knee surgery.
This resulted in several years of debilitating low back pain for me. However, I finally managed to turn the corner through a combined treatment program and I now live and work without limitations. My mission is to help you rethink your life with chronic pain and guide you through the existing information and research, therefore assisting you in your own personal recovery process.

Most of typical imaging (making an mri, ct or xray) findings of people with LBP are part of normal aging and are not related to back pain. Using these images to explain your pain without an accurate examination and a carefully guided clinical history interview, is not supported by current scientific evidence!
Clinical guidelines say imaging should be avoided unless signs that raise suspicion for a serious underlying condition like malignancy, spinal fracture, infection of the spine, or cauda equina syndrome are present. Why? To put it simple: People with no LBP can have worse mri´s, ct`s or xray´s than people with LBP. So getting an xray, ct or mri not only will not help you (in 99%) in treating your back pain but there are even studies that suggest that having an mri can make things worse for people with LBP!
